This is a unisex baby set with a sweater and two hat patterns given. For a newborn size, the gauge should be closer to 16 stitches per 4 inches; given gauge is closer to a standard 3 month size.

The set is meant to complement the Rippled Baby Blanket by MoreThanOneWay. The sweater owes much to the assortment of “5-Hour” Sweaters, particularly the one by Gale Bable.

Using a “closed” increase (like a lifted increase) generates a ripple effect without holes (as shown); for a more feminine touch, use a yarn over increase.

Uploaded an edited version on Sept 30, 2014 to fix numerous typos including the major one in the pattern where “kfb” was mistyped as “k2tog” (major oops, sorry everyone!)
