Mimicking the colors of the real show-stoppers at Rhinebeck - the trees - this fun toque flies off the needles and onto your head. The banded structure of the design lends itself to knitting in your tails, so that you don’t have extra tails to weave in later.

For a smaller circumference, go down a needle size or two.
Colorwork is both charted and written out, giving you options.
A slouchy adaptation is suggested.

Yardage needed:
Brim color: 40 yards
Background color: 80 yards (sufficient for slouchy option)
5 other colors: 10 yards each

I have created a video tutorial for knitting in tails in the round.
