Roll Neck Poncho
Poncho / Sweater / vest…. you can decide what to call it!
Very simple yet versatile piece.
Since I live in California, it is warm enough to wear any cold winter day.
Cute with jeans and yoga outfits too.
Knitted with bigger gauge so this is a very quick project!
The shoulder lines are worked with clean short rows and seamed together with three - needles - BO.
There is no buttonhole. You simply attach them to your desired locations.
The photo showings are the Small size with Cropped length. The yardage above is for cropped length, so if you want to make it longer please check the yarn section below.
YARN
The sample is knitted with 100% acrylic yarn. Warm enough for me and it is very light weight. Super reasonable too!!
The knitted gauge is 16sts / 4” after blocking is 15sts / 4”.
Since the poncho drapes along the body with the weight (no structural seaming), if your gauge is 16sts /4”, you will get the right finish size.
Yardage S (M, L, XL)
Cropped length 950 (1050, 1150, 1250) yards.
Longer length 1200 (1300, 1450, 1550) yards.
NEEDLES
Please take time to check the gauge.
Suggested needles are -
Body - US #9 (ribbing) and US #10 (body) , 24” or longer circular needles.
Neck - US #9 and #10, 16” or 24” long circular needles.
