This pattern is for a pair of knit and beaded cuffs with a purple and green rhombic bead motif. The pattern is both written and charted and is suitable for beginner knitters as well as experienced knitters wishing to try out beaded knitting.

The cuffs are knit sideways in garter stitch with beads pre-threaded onto the yarn and inserted between stitches one by one. This beading technique does not require any special tools or skills, the only difficult part is getting the beads in the right order when stringing, if you are working with beads of two or more colours. The bead stringing sequence is provided and the technique illustrated in video tutorials.

MATERIALS
The beads used for this project are Japanese Toho seeds in Size 8. You will need 278 beads in Colour a (green), and 316 beads in colour b (purple).
The yarn is a Baby Alpaca blend in fingering weight.

SIZE

The unseamed cuff size is 10 x 16 cm (4” x 6 1/4”) for a wrist circumference 14-16 cm (5 1/2” - 6 1/4”).
