A simple tutorial on how to make a rose. The roses in this tutorial are available in 2 sizes -- a large and small rose. I included a photo tutorial for the step by step instructions of the large rose, you can also see in the photos how I sew my roses.

Crochet diagrams are also included for both the large and small rose patterns. All are available in US terminology.

Gauge is not really important, you can make roses of different sizes by using different kinds of yarns, in this tutorial I used a cotton thread with a 1.5mm hook for the small rose and a 1.75mm hook for the large rose.

I used Monaco mercerized cotton thread, which is a famous crochet thread in the Philippines, this thread is similar to Aunt Lydia’s No. 10.
