The Rose Garden Tee is a lovely lightweight knit with a rose garland around the yoke. This knit sweater is SO light and airy, perfect for a spring or summer walk through a rose garden! The roses are also written two ways, embroidery method and floating method, so you can choose what work best for you!

You can also purchase the yarn for this beautiful tee in a specially curated kit, provided by Daisy Stitch Co.!

Yarn:
For this sweater I used a DK (#3) weight 75% Superwash Merino Wool / 25% Nylon hand-dyed yarn from Daisy Stitch Co. in the colors Rose Garden, Raspberry, Celebrate, and French Vanilla.
I worked in collaboration with Daisy Stitch Co to create the color “Rose Garden” specifically for this sweater, and it could not have come out more perfect. The speckles of green and dark pink over the lighter pink base just makes you feel like you’re the most beautiful flower in a garden!

Inspiration:
The inspiration for this sweater came first with the yarn. I’ve had this colorway in my mind for ages, which was why I was so excited for the opportunity to work with Daisy Stitch Co. to bring it to life! As you can see from some of my wip photos, the colors came directly from my wedding! Our centerpieces were bouquets of multiple colored pink roses, and our cake had roses in it as well. So when I thought of what to make with this incredible “Rose Garden” colorway, a tee with a rose garland around the yoke was a no-brainer!

Construction:
This yoke top sweater is worked in the round, split for the sleeves and body, and worked mainly in stockinette stitch. The colorwork involves long floats, but there is also another method of using embroidery on a plain background. I like to offer such options, so that a pattern like this is easily accessible to different levels of knitters!
