The Rose Square Clutch Bag is covered with little 3D roses that don’t need sewing on. Each square is made individually, then the roses are actually crocheted onto several of them to create this unique and eye-catching design.

The clutch has so many uses - as a purse, a makeup bag, a pencil case and more.

The construction is simple too. There’s no fiddly zip to sew, instead we take a plain fabric pencil case and sew the crochet layer onto the bag. This adds a lining and the zip in the simplest way possible, giving you a practical yet beautiful bag quickly and simply.

To make this bag you will need:

• 3.5mm hook
• Tapestry needle
• 8.4 x 4.8 inch Canvas pencil case
• 70 meters of Patons Cotton DK
• 85 meters of Sirdar Cotton Prints DK

Sirdar Cotton DK has now been discontinued, but you can swap it for any other mercerised cotton DK yarn.

The final dimensions of the bag are 9 x 5 inches.

The pattern includes pictures to guide you through each step of the pattern and the construction process. This project would suit those with intermediate level skills.
