Skirt with detailed edging - Difficulty: Intermediate.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Rosemary Skirt is knitted top down using short rows to make the skirt higher in the back. The skirt has a folded edge in which is where the elastic will be pulled through. The bottom hem is finished off in a pattern made up of knit and purl stitches.

Rosemary Skirt and cardigan is named after one of my favorite plants of all time: the rosemary. It is said to hold clarity, strength, and protection. Back in the days, it was used to clean out both homes and minds. I regularly use a stem in my drinking water to enjoy the lovely taste.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Waist circumference 78 (79) 86 (90) 96 (98) cm | 30.7 (31.1) 33.9 (35.4) 37.8 (38.6) inches

Hip circumference 96 (101) 108 (116) 121 (124) cm | 37.8 (39.8) 42.5 (45.7) 47.6 (48.8) inches

Lenght measured from cast-on edge in the back 44 (45) 46 (47) 48 (49) cm | 17.3 (17.7) 18.1 (18.5) 18.9 (19.3) inches

POSITIVE EASE AND FIT
The finished measurements on the front page are designed to give the garment a positive ease of approx. 10 cm | 4 inches. For instance; If your waist circumference is 80 + 10 = 90 cm | 31.5 + 3.9 = 35.4 in, then you should knit a size L. If you want a snug fit, go down a size.

CHOOSING YARN
The skirt is worked in mixed scrap yarn, for instance using Nepal from Drops(65 % Peruvian Higland wool, 35% superfine alpaca, 50 g = ca. 75 m | 1.76 oz = approx. 82 yds.) which is a perfect fit when looking at the gauge. You can easily use other types of yarn as long as you achieve the recommended gauge.
