The Rosemary Tie Hat takes inspiration from cloches and bandanas for a sweet, three-seasons accessory. This hat starts with the garter-stitch band worked from side to side. Then stitches are picked up along the edge of the band to work the body. A geometric lace pattern completes the textural feel of this hat.

NOTES

  • The brim of this hat is worked from side to side, then stitches for the body of the hat are picked up along the side edge of the brim. The body is worked back and forth for 19 rows, then joined in the round and worked circularly to the crown.

  • When measuring the garter stitch brim, lay the piece flat without stretching it.

  • When working the garter stitch brim, it may be helpful to mark the right side of the piece.
