The two-colour butterfly slip-stitch pattern of this pullover creates an intricate effect with little difficulty as it is worked with 1 colour at a time. Cuffs, waistband and neckband mirror the pattern, bringing unity and grace to the design.

The pullover is knitted in the round from the bottom up. Body and sleeves are worked as separate tubes from the lower edge to the armholes. Then the pieces are joined and knitted in a tapered tube. This makes reading the charts and working the slip stitches easier, and there is only a small seam under the armhole to sew up after the knitting is complete.

Waist and front neck shaping are added for a tailored fit. Together with the raglan shaping this gives the sweater good structure and stability to always make it hang straight.

For your convenience, there are separate instructions in an attractive layout for each size (36, 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46). So, don’t be daunted by the number of pages in the PDF-file. You may find my full descriptions easier to follow than the standard brief and cryptic ones.

The light knitted fabric in fingering weight wool will keep you comfortably warm.

For women who desire elegance in daily life.

Comments of knitters:

It’s one of the best patterns I have come across. The individual size instructions are separate. Easy to follow. Lots of details, beautiful photos, I will definitely try your other patterns.”

“A very well written pattern. It is fitted, and the neckline is shaped, unlike many raglan patterns which go straight across the neck.”
