A stranded colour work hat in 2 or more colours suitable for all ages. Always remember a Reindeer is not just for Christmas.

The pattern contains size guidance in cm and inch, but always measure the head of the person you are making the hat for.

Sizing
The instructions are given for 7 different sizes:
Up to 1 year
Up to 2 year
3-5 year
6-10 year
Teenager/small adult
Medium adult
Large adult
Due to the pattern repeat, 3 of the sizes are achieved by knitting the larger version on smaller needles.

Materials
The hat is knit in fingering weight yarn. The sample in the picture is made with:
Red – Jamieson’s Spindrift, colour 500 Scarlet, 1 ball (15-45 gram/60-180 meters)
White – Jamieson’s Spindrift, colour 104 Natural, 1 ball (10-30 gram/40-120 meters)
Brown – J.C. Rennie Unique Shetland, colour Pecan, 1 ball (5-15 gram/20-60 meters)
Approximate yarn weights are in brackets if you want to work from stash.
Any fingering weight yarn to give the correct gauge can be used. Bear in mind that when using a smoother yarn, the floats on the inside will not fuse as well as with a ‘hairier’ yarn such as Spindrift.
