Run Rigs are the way they used to farm the land on Skye - where the Shilasdair shop is - and you can still the see the tongue and groove marks on the hill in front of the shop - ripples just like this cow

This is an easy cowl, with a ridged pattern created by using multiple rounds of either knit or purl stitches. It can be completed in just a few hours. The recommended yarn, Shilasdair Coara Rope, has just the right amount of firmness for the cowl to hold it’s shape around your neck and keep the wind away!

Only one size is written, but you could cast on fewer stitches for a smaller size around your neck if you wish - or for children.

As written, it uses just under one skein of Shilasdair Coara Rope.
