An easy cabled cowl, using just one skein of wool. To minimise the amount of purl stitches, it is knitted inside out.

Taod is the gaelic name for cable or rope in case you wonder about the name.

Coara Rope from Shilasdair is a firm bulky weight yarn, from Blue faced Leicester and Shetland sheep. It’s structure is ideal for cowls as it has very good stitch definition and also hold the cowl shape vertically.
