Knitting pattern in English and German for a versatile and fun junior cardigan in the sizes 0-3 m (3-6 m) 6-9 m (9-12 m) 1-2 y (2-3 y) 3-4 y.

| Construction:
Runar Junior is worked flat from the top down, beginning with the two front panels, which are knit as separate pieces and shaped at the shoulders using German Short Rows.
Stitches are then picked up along the front shoulders to knit the two back panels.
The front panels and center back seams are joined using a visible crochet seam (you don’t need prior crochet experience).
The body is completed with a folded hem, followed by a picked-up neckband to form the crew neckline.
Stitches are also picked up around the armholes to knit the sleeves. Finally, double knit button bands are added along the front edges for a polished finish.

For those who’d like to match with their little one, an adult version of the pattern is also available.
