I’ve always been fascinated by self-striping sock yarns, the variety and playfulness of the colour combinations sets a mood and tone for your knitting. I love how you can achieve a striped sock, without having to weave in all those pesky tail ends… but I get a teeny bit bored knitting plain stockinette stitch the whole way.

The Rustling Reed socks, gives you the pleasure of striped socks, that are just a little bit EXTRA! The loops provide interest to your knitting, and are created in this pattern with just a little needle and yarn gymnastics.
The socks are knit cuff-down, featuring a textured flap and gusset heel, and a rounded toe. The pattern can be completed in non self-striping for a lovely textured look in either solid or variegated colours.

Construction
The socks are knit cuff down, with a rib cuff.
The textured Rustling Reed Stitch is the signature feature of the pattern, creating a spiralling looped feature to add texture to your sock. The heel is a flap and gusset construction and it has a rounded toe.
