This is a pattern for a long wingspan shawl that combines a unique Japanese focal stitch with a favorite Shetland Edging stitch, that is attached in the usual Shetland manner. The combination of the stitches makes for a beautiful shawl that is fun to knit and fun to wear.
It measures 70 x 27 when completed, making it a versatile shawl to have in your closet.

Both stitches are both written out and charted.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Fleece Artists Merino 2-6 and requires approximately 3 skeins of that yarn to complete (approximately 1125 yards).

This pattern was expertly tested by Rebecca Wood. (rkwood16@gmail.com)
