The Ryegrass Socks are perfect for those times when you want to wow with your socks but don’t want all the faff of using two or more colours for colourwork … mosaic is the answer!

The all-over pattern is cleverly created with slip stitches to show off your contrast colour, be it stripes or variegated, and the easily memorised four stitch pattern makes this a great easy knitting project.

Ideal for adventurous beginners, the Ryegrass Socks are constructed as cuff down socks with a heel flap and gusset. The heel is knitted in ribbed heel stitch which creates a durable, cushioned heel that stretches a little more than a traditional heel flap, so works very well for those with wider heels.

This pattern can be used on its own or if you need more help, in conjunction with the Winwick Mum Sockalong beginner sock knitting tutorials.

The yarns pictured are West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply in Bubblegum, and Brightside from the Winwick Mum Collection.
