This is a listing for a knit wrap pattern that features two stitches that come to us from Japan. The focal stitch is an intricate cable lace stitch that makes quite a statement. The border stitches are also unique, but quite a bit easier to knit. Combined, they make a one of a kind shawl, quickly becoming an heirloom

Skill Level: Intermediate+ (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).

The two stitches are both charted.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Barbara Robertson, who can be contacted at: Barb. Robertson @gmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Mrs. Crosby Plays in Hat Box in colorway Red Raddish. The shawl requires approximately four to fives skeins knit on a size U. S.#5 (3.75 rmm) needle.
