Sakura Season shawl was inspired by abundant cherry blossoms we are lucky to enjoy every spring. The colour combo (soft pink and off white) used in this design reflects the beauty of these gentle flowers.

The shawl is worked on the bias starting at the tip with a few cast-on stitches to form an asymmetrical triangle by working increases along one edge. It is knit in blocks of a single colour and two colour stitch patterns. And though the colour work may look complex and intimidating at first glance, it is done with the slip stitch technique and very basic cable stitches. This means you work with only one strand of yarn per row, alternating colours every two rows.
