Out of necessity, Sally is an excellent seamstress. Because her limbs are detachable and have a life of their own (a talent she uses to her advantage multiple times throughout the film, often to escape difficult situations), she keeps a needle tucked behind her ear and thread in her dress for on-the-spot repairs. Of course, this would be scary in the real world, but in Halloween Town, Sally fits right in.

There’s no need to be as good a seamstress as Sally when making these beginner-friendly fingerless mitts! Knit flat on the bias in garter stitch, the rectangle is then folded into a tube and seamed together with imperfect ragdoll-like stitches. An opening is left for the thumb, and the top and bottom edges can be folded back or worn long. Embrace your inner ragdoll and make a pair for yourself, or for your favorite friend from Halloween Town.
