This is a loose fitted casual summer tee. It can be worn with anywhere from 1-6 inches of positive ease depending on the look you want and the close fitting dropped sleeves are an easy to knit and fit shape. This is a good project for beginner sweater knitters.

Two length are given in the instructions, a slightly cropped high hip version, and a longer mid hip length.

The Sandstone Tee is knit from the bottom up in the round and then divided at the armholes. The front and back are worked separately and knit back and forth.
The shoulders are shaped with German short rows and then joined with a three needle bind-off. An explanation of German short rows is given at the end.

The short sleeves are created by picking up stitches and knitting out from the body.

This pattern can be a great stash buster. Since most of the sizes require you to have more than 1 skein if the main colours, you could try using 3 colours with 2 bands of each shade, or you could be creative and make each band with a separate colour. The sleeve can be worked with any of the main colours and leftovers are great for the third contrast colour that only appears in the transitions.

This pattern has not been test knitted, so feedback and questions are very welcome.
