Sapporo Cowl
The Sapporo Cowl uses mosaic colorwork to depict the cityscape of Sapporo, Japan.
Construction
The Sapporo Cowl is knit seamlessly in the round along the circumference.
Gauge
Using 5.5 mm (US 9) needles, 17 stitches per 10cm in stockinette.
Size:
(Mini, Regular). Sample is shown in Regular. Other circumferences can be achieved by changing the number of 20 stitch repeats.
Circumference: (30, 52) inches. (76, 132) cm.
Width: (8, 8) inches. (20, 20) cm.
Yarn
Malabrigo Rios, 100% Superwash Merino, 192 m/210yd per 100g.
1 ball for MC (Leo) . Approx (112, 192) m / (123, 210) yds.
1 ball for CC (White). Approx (112, 192) m / (123, 210) yds.
Note that the Regular size used exactly 210 yds of the MC. If you have very close to or less than that and want to avoid running out, you may want to do 1 fewer repeat (20 fewer stitches) than what the pattern calls for. This means casting on 220 stitches instead and doing 11 repeats.
Needles and Notions
5.5mm (US 9) needles. A few stitch markers and a tapestry needle are also needed.
