The SAPPORO beanie is worked in a round and the size can be easily adjusted by adding rows of 3DC clusters, as well as by increasing or decreasing the number of foundation chains.

You can also increase the crochet hook size if you prefer.
I wanted my beanie to be a very quick and fun project to make, so I used a bulky yarn suitable for a 7 mm crochet hook.

As I like to experiment, I have crocheted it using the Ice Organic Wool Bulky Hand Paint yarn for one version, and a bulky speckled yarn from Temu for another version.

You will need about 150 yds of yarn for a M size beanie.
