Scarf Number 2
Whether you are looking for a relaxing knit or a pattern that will add a stylish twist to your accessories wardrobe, Scarf Number 2 is the perfect project for you. This long, thin, tapered scarf is based on simple, alternating stockinette sections, but is elevated far beyond any traditional beginner pattern with a segment of beautiful twisted eyelets and a polished iCord edge. This makes it a rewarding project for beginners, yet entertaining enough to keep more seasoned knitters engaged.
This pattern calls for DK yarn making it perfect for autumn. Wear it as a casual accessory to jazz up a plain sweater or top or you can show off its versatile styling and cosy potential when you’re out and about. And whilst the scarf looks great in a single colour, its segmented nature makes it ideal for stash busting.
The finished result is a fun, elegant accessory that is sure to become a staple in your wardrobe for years to come.
Happy Knitting!

Yarn Recommendations: The sample was knitted in Stylecraft Alpaca DK 80% acrylic/20% alpaca in Lime. This yarn has been discontinued unfortunately, but as a substitute I would recommend using a similar yarn such as
~ Sirdar Country Classic DK 50% wool/50% acrylic which has a similar fibre characteristic and yarn weight to the Alpaca DK
~ Drops Lima which is the DK equivalent of the 4ply yarn, Drops Flora. I used Flora for the sample of my Scarf Number 1 pattern which is part of the same collection and when knitted up, Lima has a lovely drape.
However, as always feel free to use the yarn of your choice, but please just check your gauge in case you need to make any adjustments.
