Scarf “Waves”
The scarf is knitted holding 2 strands of Drops Kid-Silk together (25 g / 215 m) using 5 mm needles.
Gauge: 10 cm = 17 sts x 25 rows in stockinette stitch after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will affect the final size of the scarf.
Construction:
The scarf is worked flat in back-and-forth rows.
At the beginning, increases are worked on every right-side row (RS) while maintaining the stitch pattern, until the required number of stitches or the desired scarf width is reached.
The scarf is then worked flat without increases until the desired length is reached or until approximately 6 g of yarn remain.
Finally, decreases are worked on every right-side row while maintaining the stitch pattern, until 8 stitches remain on the needles. Bind off all stitches.
Size and yarn usage:
The scarf in the sample shown weighs 41 g.
Total length – 136 cm, including approximately 103 cm for the center section.
