This versatile piece is a simple wide-ribbed tube, with shaping created by changing needle sizes; this shaping helps keep your capelet snuggled up to your neck, instead of falling off your shoulders. As shown, knitted with a Knittique Scraplet Skein on one half, a Knittique Stranded Skein on the other half, it’s completely reversible! And as Sarah shows in her version (bottom photo), it can also be worn draped like a cowl.

It’s knitted in the round, so there’s no finishing other than tucking in loose ends! You only need to know how to cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, bind off, and knit in the round.

While I recommend Knittique’s Scraplet Skeins (and Scraplet Skein-interchangeable yarns like Knittique’s Stranded Skeins and Signature Skeins), you can certainly have a lot of fun with this as a de-stash project! Since gauge is not a huge issue, you can experiment with summer-weight yarns, and if you simply knit this pattern on smaller needles (without changing the number of stitches), you can make a petite version!
