Doodling brought me to this shawl. Sometimes, when the mind wanders free…

Scrivener is a crescent garter shawl in two sizes with a touch of lace knitting followed by some knitted lace! Shown in the larger size.

Instructions are both written and charted.

Construction Notes:
The shawl is worked from the top down beginning with a garter stitch main body section followed by a lace inset section, and finally a lace edging, which has patterning on both the right and wrong sides of the work.

Skills Used:
• increasing
• decreasing
• lace
• reading charts (optional)

Shown in Hazel Knits Artisan Sock, color Emerald City

• 320 (635) yds / 295 (581)m of fingering weight yarn

A note about gauge:
Gauge is not critical to this project’s construction, however a change in gauge will affect the finished measurements and the yarn requirements.
