The designs on this scarf are adapted from gold objects made by the ancient Scythians. The designs include a lion, griffin, and triple horse head.

This pattern uses 2 skeins of lace-weight yarn, one skein of a light and one of a dark color. The sample used about 700 yds (640 m) of each color and is about 57” long. For a longer scarf (using a little less yarn) you might want to eliminate the 3-stitch garter edging.

The pattern is primarily charts. There are 2 sets of charts - one for stranded and one for double-knit.
