This is a cool and comfortable summer poncho that provides just the right amount of coverage. The Seafoam pattern, when paired with cotton DK weight yarn, allows those summer breezes to flow but keeps the chill away. The pattern can also be used with wool yarns for a warmer alternative. Try it with a striping yarn such as Classic Elite Liberty Wool for a fun, colorful project.

The poncho is knit top-down in two identical panels. The panels are joined at the top, leaving a neck opening at the center. The remaining edges are finished off by picking up stitches along the sides and curved bottom edges of each panel. Panels are joined together at the sides, leaving arm openings at the top.
