Šearfa – Scarf

Šearfa is a knitted scarf featuring motifs inspired by a traditional Sámi men’s belt from Sør-Varanger. The pattern motifs are based on Belter og band: en samling mønster fra Sør-Varanger, collected by Nelly Must et al., Sør-Varanger Museum.

The scarf is worked in the round on a circular needle in stranded colorwork. It can easily be adjusted to the desired length by adding or removing pattern repeats.

Length: 140 cm, excluding tassels, or desired length
Width: 28 cm
Gauge: 26 stitches = 10 cm
Needles: 3 mm
Yarn: Pickles Pure Wool
