CityStrides is a website that allows you to take your GPS running watch data and track what streets you have run in your city. As the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic wore on, finding fitness goals became more challenging and running every street in Seattle became my goal. I ended up spreading (you could say, infected) this goal to my husband and running friends. The stunning views of the Seattle Skyline from different neighborhoods, times of day, seasons, and weather became one of my favorite surprises.

One morning, I was running with a friend in her neighborhood. It was still dark with a hint of dawn and low clouds and as we crested a hill, downtown Seattle was stunning. I vowed right there that I could create a stranded knit hat to recreate that view. I still have a long way to go to run all the streets in Seattle but I did finish my goal of creating this hat pattern.

Hat Basics
This slouchy hat is knit in the round from the bottom up. Fingering or light fingering yarn is used. You should be familiar with stranded knitting, reading charts, maintaining color dominance and locking floats. Charts are provided with both a light background and a dark background.

Thank you for all the love you showed this pattern!
