I wanted to surprise a close friend of mine with a pretty baby blanket for her newborn son. Browsing through patterns available, I couldn’t find anything that caught my eye, so I put this one together. It is everything you want for a little one. Classic and traditional, elegant and pretty, intricate yet simple.

It is knit from the bottom up. It’s an easy traveling stitch blanket. Texture is made using purl stitches instead of cables for an easy knit. It is a great gift idea for that special little one to come.
Level = Adventurous beginner
Notions you need to know: Casting on, knitting and purling, placing markers, binding off.
Security blanket approx. 17” X 17” (43 cm x 43 cm), stroller blanket 27” x 36” (68 cm x 92 cm), baby blanket 32” x 48” (81 cm x 122 cm).
(1, 3, 4) skeins or (100, 350, 500g) of Anzula Fibers “For Better or for Worsted”
Getting gauge is not essential but will affect yardage requirements.
