This pattern can easily be adapted to make a larger hand towel. I chose the size I did because cotton is so absorbent and effective that a larger towel seemed like overkill to me.

If you want to increase the size, check your gauge and then decide how wide you want it. Multiple by 4 (the number of stitches per inch in the gauge given for this pattern) to calculate the number of stitches you need to cast on. For example, if you wanted a towel that was 16 inches wide, you would cast on 64 stitches.
