The oldest known human attempt at animation is on a stoneware vessel unearthed in Shahr-i Sokhta, Iran. The illustration depicts a goat leaping to reach leaves, in a series of five frames rotating around the vessel. The piece is believed to date back to the late half of the 3rd Millennium, B.C.
This hat is a modern take on the Shahr-I Sokhta goat. I designed it for my husband, who is an Iranian and a film buff.
Knit from the top down, magic loop is recommended. Familiarity with double-knit technique is advantageous.
