Florette is an asymmetrical triangle shawl.

It features a simple lace pattern, a single-colour slipped-stitch pattern and some colour work. If you are looking for a relaxing knit, or if you are a beginner and would like to tackle a relatively simple project with some variation, Florette is the perfect design for you. You start off with few stitches and work increases until your shawl has the desired size. All pattern repeats are quite simple and regular, so you can watch your favourite TV series while knitting.
The shawl is worked in two colours. You can combine a variegated yarn (colour A) with a solid-colour yarn (colour B) or two solid-colour yarns. If you use a self-striping yarn as colour A, you will achieve some interesting effects, especially in the slipped-stitch section.

  • Yarn: 1 skein of Rico Design Superba Melange Jacquard 4-ply (100 g = 380 m / 415 yds) and 1 skein of Schachenmayr Regia 4-ply (50 g = 210 m / 230 yds)
  • Needles: 1 set of circular needles, size 4 mm (US 6)
  • Gauge: 19sts x 32 rows = 10x10 cm
  • Finished Measurements (blocked): length: 210 cm (85 in), depth: 50 cm (19.5 in)
