The Tahiti Stole is a light rectangular wrap featuring flowing lace panels framed by neat ribbed edges. The shifting diamond motif looks especially beautiful in long-gradient yarn, but the design also works well in a solid or subtly variegated color.

Finished size:
Approximately 33 × 156 cm.

Yarn:
The original sample was knitted with 2 skeins of Rellana Tahiti, 100% cotton, 360 m / 100 g.

Yarn required: approximately 720 m.

The original yarn is no longer widely available. You may substitute any smooth fingering- or light sport-weight yarn that produces the stated blocked gauge and creates a fabric with good drape and stitch definition.

Suggested alternatives:

• Rellana Regenbogen Beauty — 200 g / 800 m
• Hobbii Twister — 250 g / 1000 m
• Scheepjes Cotton Whirl — 226 g / 1000 m

One cake of any of these suggested yarns provides enough meterage for the original size.

Needles and tools:

• 3.00–3.25 mm straight or circular needles
• 5 stitch markers
• 2 additional markers, optional
• Tapestry needle
• Blocking mats and rustproof pins, optional

Gauge:
35 sts = 10 cm / 4 in in the lace pattern after blocking.

Skill level:
Confident beginner / intermediate.
