This pattern is for a soft, chunky and snuggly sheep afghan measuring approximately 36” x 32”. Blanket is worked with a double strand of yarn as well as a chunky novelty yarn that’s thick and fuzzy for the body of the sheep.

This pattern is written in American crochet terms. I’ve included instructions and a graph/chart for completing this blanket.

For this project, you should be familiar with crochet terms and abbreviations and be able to chain (ch), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc) and work color changes (explained briefly in pattern). The pattern contains a chart for making the sheep, so you should be VERY comfortable with multiple color changes. Project requires a size P crochet hook

Skill Level: Intermediate - while the chart is entirely single crochet, there are a several color changes in this afghan. You should be comfortable handling and managing multiple strands of yarn for these changes. This pattern also uses a chunky novelty yarn for the body of the sheep, so the stitches may be hard to see sometimes.
