Knit a mitered square dishcloth in the least-intuitive way!
This simple project uses kitchen cotton and basic wrap & turn short rows to make a square. It’s a good way to make a dishcloth, and this free .PDF pattern makes 3 sizes.
Materials:
- 1 ball or 55(70, 80)yds worsted-weight kitchen cotton
- 1 16” circular needle—or one pair of straight needles—in US7/4.5mm, or size needed for gauge
- tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
Gauge is 14 sts and 32 rows over 4”/10cm of lightly blocked garter stitch, worked flat. Please be sure to check your gauge.
Measurements:
As shown, this square dishcloth measures about 8(9, 10)“/20(23, 25)cm on each side.
