Siena, located in Tuscany is a dreamy spot full of Italian history. Everything about it completely stole my heart on our family holiday.

Siena socks have some easy chevron lace and my favourite twisted rib. They are simple but a little bit special too. Knit them short or long, they will be so cute either way! These are especially fun to knit while eating gelato. ;)

Siena Socks feature:

  • Magic Loop style knitting but instructions are given for arranging stitches on DPNs as well
  • top down construction
  • simple lace and twisted rib on the cuff only
  • have a simple small pinstripe rib pattern on the body of the sock
  • is very cute when knit as shorties or a standard length sock
  • offer both written and charted instructions for the chevron lace section
  • rounded comfort toe
  • twisted rib heel flap and square heel turn construction but it is very simple to substitute your favourite fitting heel
  • video links are provided for special techniques of Long Tail Cast On, Magic Loop knitting and grafting using the Kitchener Stitch
  • test knitters used all types of yarn and they all looked wonderful from speckles to gradient and tonal dyed yarns
  • this pattern has been professionally tech edited (thanks, Kate!) and test knit by generous and wonderful knitters. Thanks ladies! xo
