Sieve Stitch Scarf
A free version is also available.
This pattern is available for free on my blog here, or you can purchase the ad free pdf here on Ravelry.
The Sieve Stitch Scarf uses the Sieve stitch to create a warm, thin fabric. The stitch is similar to the Moss stitch but the finish is more solid while still as easy to make.
Although I chose to make a short scarf that measures 114cm x 18cm, you can easily add to the length just by adding more rows. This scarf is easy to customise to your own length and width choice to create the scarf that suits you best.
I used 2 colours to make my own Sieve Stitch Scarf, a multicolour yarn for the main scarf and a complementary colour to border it. The multicolour yarn is Sirdar Cotton Print DK which is now discontinued, but you can use any DK yarn that needs a 4mm hook instead.
To make the Sieve Stitch Scarf you will need:
- Multicolour DK / light worsted yarn - 424m / 464 yards
- Solid colour DK / light worsted yarn - 42m / 46 yards
- 4mm hook
- Needle to weave in your ends
Gauge = 23sc in 10cm, 22 rows of sc in 10cm
This pattern is perfect for beginners and the pattern includes pictures to guide you through each part of the pattern.
The pattern you are purchasing is a digital download and not a physical copy.
