An Idea for these mittens came to me during long walks with my dogs in the nearby pine woods.

The pattern has 2 variations - full size mittens and a fingerless version and is written for S/M size of an average woman’s hand of 16.5-18 cm/ 6.5 - 7 inches in diameter.

These mittens are knit on circular needles using magic loop method from cuff up to the tip, but you can also use double-pointed needles if you are more comfortable with them.

The mittens feature an intuitive and easy to memorise slipped-stitch cabling pattern on the front and a thumb shifted slightly inwards that allows for a better fit. The 2-stitch cables can be knit both with and without cabling needle, depending on your preference.
