A lovely silky cowl in a lace pattern that’s simple enough for beginners! The pattern is very repetitive, and you work it on only one row of every six. The rest is just plain knitting.

No gauge is given, as it doesn’t matter too much in a lacy pattern like this. As long as it’s big enough to go over your head, that’s all that matters!

The pattern is written in the round, using one 3.75mm x 60cm circular needle. You’re welcome to knit it using 2 circs, or dpns, or flat with a seam (add a couple of edging stitches) - whatever works for you.

One ball of Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace is more than enough to knit two of these cowls. You will need approximately 400 yards of lace weight yarn to make a cowl around 21” long, with a circumference of around 23½“.
