I love mini skeins. I could say that there was some profound inspiration behind this one but really it does just come down to my love for mini’s. I love being able to incorporate a rainbow of color into one project, without having to worry about where the colors will fall. I love the striping, those little rows all lined up and in perfect unison. I guess that it appeals to my love of order and predictability. There is something comforting about knowing exactly where you are going next and then getting there without complication. I had to keep it interesting and add those gorgeous lace bands though.

Silver Linings is a top down triangular shawl with increases on both ends and down the spine of the right side. This shawl is destined to be a classic staple in your wardrobe. It’s big enough to drape over your shoulders to ward off those chilly nights but not so long that you can’t wrap close it to the neck, to show off those beautiful lace bands. You could even tie it behind your back, Ma’ Ingalls style if that’s your thing.

Intermediate

Finished Measurements
76” from tip to tip and 28” from tip to bottom point after wet blocking.

Suggested Yarn
On The Round Signature Sock
The sample used one skein of On The Round Signature Sock in Titanium and one set of six mini skeins of On the Round Signature Sock in Silver Linings Rainbow. Test knitters used at least 90% of their yarn so please check your gauge to insure that you have enough yarn to complete your project. The shawl does feature a garter band border, which can provide an easy place to make adjustments if you find yourself running short at the end.

Specific Yardage used in the sample

360 yards of the main color (grey)
98 yards of CC1 (purple)
90 yards of CC2 (blue)
84 yards of CC3 (green)
68 yards of CC4 (yellow/green)
60 yards of CC2 (orange)
55 yards of CC6 (pink)

These are approximations based off of starting and finishing weights of my skeins.
