NEEDLES&NOTIONS
US 2.5 (3 mm) circular needles in suitable lengths (32–47 in / 80–120 cm) for ribbing
US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle in suitable length (32–47 in / 80–120 cm) for body, yoke, and neckline
If you are a tight knitter, you may wish to go up a needle size when working the colorwork to prevent it from pulling in.
Note: The pattern is written for US 5 (3.75 mm), but always use the size needed to obtain correct gauge.
You will also need stitch holders or waste yarn, stitch markers, a tapestry needle, blocking tools, and, if you prefer, a cable needle for working the cables.
GAUGE
19 sts × 26 rnds = 4” × 4” / 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch worked in the round on US 5 (3.75 mm) needles
SIZES
XS, S (M, L, XL) 2XL, 3XL — finished bust circumference: 32¾, 36¾ (40, 44¼, 48½) 52½, 56¾ in (83, 93.5, (102, 112.5, 123) 133.5, 144 cm)
The pattern is designed with approximately ±4” / 10 cm of positive ease, meaning the sweater should be about 10 cm larger than your actual bust measurement. Choose the size whose finished bust measurement is roughly 10 cm larger than your own. Before you begin, measure the fullest part of your upper torso. For example, if your bust measures 100 cm, select size L, which has a finished bust of 112 cm. This ensures the sweater will have enough ease for a comfortable fit.
