This is a very simple summer top made out of cotton/bamboo blend dk weight yarn, and you can also hold two fingering weight yarns together. Super quick to knit (I made mine in about 4 days), it should also be fun and for the most part, pretty mindless.
Mostly stockinette stitch, the tank is nice, breezy, and fun to wear. The tank comes in 5 sizes, XS-XL. Great for hot summer days, or fall days layered with a simple cardigan. It has two lengths, cropped, and regular. In the sample photos, the cropped length is chosen.

The tank top is meant to be worn with around 5-6 inches of negative ease, depending on your preferences.

The top is worked bottom up, where you work in stockinette stitch until bust increases. The bust increases that you will increase will be bound off for the back later on, when you separate for the straps. Each strap is worked separately, then you graft each strap together using Kitchener Stitch at the end.

Estimated dk weight yardage for each size:

XS: 300 yards
S: 330 yards
M: 400 yards
L: 500 yards
XL: 500 yards

Estimated fingering weight yardage held together for each size:

XS: 600 yards
S: 660 yards
M: 800 yards
L: 1000 yards
XL: 1000 yards

Remember, yardage is a rough estimate. For the larger sizes, you will most likely need less than the recommended yardage.

Needles:
Size 5 US (3.75 mm) 24 (24) (24) (32) (32) inch circular knitting needles, or size to obtain gauge.

Note: Most of my testers had to go up to a size 7 or 8 US to get gauge.

Gauge:
17 sts and 21 rounds over 4 inches in stockinette stitch knit in the round.
