Truly a simple yet elegant design. All single crochet.
This is a pattern I designed for a beginning crochet hat class I teach at BlueBird Yarn.
I have found in general that people have a high degree of success with it - So it is a good choice for someone just beginning to crochet.
Please be sure to check your gauge.

Note:The pattern can also easily be converted to fit a child or baby using a thinner yarn and smaller size hook.
