I work in my little shed shop in the summertime, selling yarn and finished knitwear. It’s often too warm for heavy knits during the summer months while I am there, but I find myself still wanting to wear knits to showcase the great selection of yarn I sell. I created this pattern to have a cute little worsted weight neck scarf that goes with linen dresses or t-shirts, without making me feel too hot. I sized it to be similar to wearing a cotton bandana.

Specifically, I wanted to have this scarf work with one skein or less of the worsted weight yarns we carry. Malabrigo Rios and Worsted, as well as Baah Shasta are great yarns for this pattern.

It’s a simple pattern great for beginners.

The pattern is written for one size but can easily be made longer if desired.

I hope you enjoy knitting this little scarf.
