This hat is my lament for the end of winter. Winter is my favorite season. Walking through the snow on a cold day with my dogs makes me smile. It’s nearly March. I will survive the summer while I wait for the first crisp days of fall. I used grey and sky blue, because snow always has a blue cast to my eye…

My stranded accessories have always been loud, colorful. I have decided to do a series of pieces that are simple, but stylish; plain but not boring. Simple motifs, not many carries, the motifs are optional. Skip the snowy motif and it’s a nice simple, striped slouch. A little textural interest with purl bumps in the stripes, but not complicated to execute. Worked in neutrals, but of course the color choices should reflect the knitter’s own favorite colors.

The $2.00 price reflects the simplicity.
A good first stranded project for not a huge investment.
