This sideways garter stitch shawl is reminiscent of the Sweet Summer Shawl: light, airy, and quick to knit. It is completely reversible and takes just one skein of sock or fingering yarn. Cast on twelve stitches, work the easily memorized pattern, increase until half the yarn is used and then decrease back down to the same number of stitches that were cast on. So easy!

Worked in one piece from end to end, the lace edging is knitted along with the garter stitch body. Size is adjustable, based on how much yarn is used. One skein of SweetGeorgia CashLuxe Fine was used here. The colour shown is Botanical.

Pattern includes notes, list of abbreviations, diagram, and written as well as charted instructions.

Finished measurements: approximately 15 inches (38 cm) wide at middle point and 73 inches (185 cm) long, after blocking.

Skills required: increasing, decreasing, knitting lace, blocking lace. Stitches used: k, p, sl1, kfb, k2tog, yo, SKP.
