ABOUT THE DESIGN:
SIMPLY ME SWEATER is a clean and simple design in garter stitch with a circular yoke ensuring a good fit. It has a beautiful, folded band at the neck, a flattering A-line shape and the characteristic box pleat at the back.

SIMPLY ME SWEATER is worked from the top down. The folded neckband in ribbing is worked first. Then short rows are worked across the back of the neck, and the yoke is worked around in garter stitch with four rounds of increases. All the way through the sweater is turned at the beginning of the round to avoid purling every other round. Extra stitches are made for the box pleat (it is crocheted closed later). The stitches for the sleeves are separated, and the body is worked in the round, still turning at the beginning of the round. The body is finished with a purled I-cord bind-off. The sleeves are also worked in the round using short rows and decreased towards the wrist, ending with ribbing.
